Church in the Wild: A Kingdom Perspective

Oct 31, 2022

We’re wrapping up our October series with the 5th and final part of Church in the Wild, where we’ve spent the month exploring how to be the hands and feet of Jesus in our current culture. What an incredible month of learning and encouragement it’s been! This week, we’re covering Acts 21 through 28 with a deep look into Paul’s life and experiences.

In A Kingdom Perspective, Pastor Eric highlights a series of Paul’s unfortunate events and we discover the ways that Paul used each of those circumstances for the good of God’s Kingdom. We’re challenged to ask ourselves 3 questions to help transform our minds to align with a kingdom perspective and we’ll discover the importance of embodying a kingdom perspective and shifting our mindset to align with the Lord’s divine plan.

The chapters we’re looking at in Acts detail Paul’s experiences after being initially arrested and then imprisoned. From the outside looking...

Church in the Wild: Follow Me as I Follow Christ

Oct 24, 2022

We’re gathering together again for another powerful message in our Church in the Wild series where we’re journeying through the book of Acts and learning how to be the hands and feet of Jesus in our current culture. In part 4 of our October series, Pastor Alexa shared an encouraging message detailing the missionary journeys of Paul.

In Follow Me as I Follow Christ, we discover 3 practical principles from Paul’s journeys to apply in our daily lives that will help us grow closer to God and share the gospel of Jesus with our world. Throughout October, we’ve been looking at the early church in the wild and we’re continuing on with the life of the apostle Paul in Acts chapters 13 through 21.

As you’ll remember from the ending of Pastor Eric’s message last week, Paul was originally Saul before his spiritual transformation. Saul was an enemy of the cross before having a dramatic counter with the Lord and, in response, then committed to living...

Church in the Wild: The Adventure of Obedience

Oct 17, 2022

We’re back with Part 3 of our Church in the Wild series where we’re journeying through the book of Acts and learning how to be the hands and feet of Jesus in our current culture. This week, Pastor Eric shared an inspiring message with 3 stories from the New Testament all about living out radical obedience.

Last week, in Boldness–A Beautiful Resistance, Pastor Alexa wrapped up her message in Acts chapter 7 where Stephen was stoned to death in response to being bold for the name of Jesus. As we pick up in chapter 8, we’re shifting from the importance of boldness to the importance of obedience and discovering 3 stories all about living out radical obedience to the Lord. Let’s dive into our foundational passage of Scripture for Pastor Eric’s message, The Adventure of Obedience:

Acts 8:1-4 (NKJV) 1Now Saul was consenting to his (Stephen’s) death. At that time a great persecution arose against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were...

Church in the Wild: Boldness - A Beautiful Resistance

Oct 10, 2022

We’re back with part 2 of our Church in the Wild series where we’re continuing our journey through the book of Acts and learning how to be the hands and feet of Jesus in our current culture. Pastor Alexa Jones shares an encouraging word on how we can live with boldness in our everyday lives.

In her message, Boldness–A Beautiful Resistance, Pastor Alexa highlights 3 ways the early church embodied boldness in their culture…even in the face of resistance! She reminds us that we, too, need the same boldness of the early church as we commit to growing spiritually and stepping out in faith to share the message of Jesus with others.

We’re diving into Acts chapters 3 through 7 today where we’ll see the ways the early church faced resistance. Then we’ll take a look at the similarities we’re facing in our current culture today and discover exactly how God wants us to handle resistance and adversity as followers of Jesus. Let’s take...

Church in the Wild: From a Flame to a Fire

Oct 03, 2022

We’re kicking off our brand new October series… Church in the Wild! Throughout the series, we’ll walk through the book of Acts and learn how to be the hands and feet of Jesus in our current culture.

This week Pastor Eric Jones shares part 1 with us as we explore the first 2 chapters of Act as we discover the 3 ingredients we need to go From a Flame to a Fire. We’re learning about the birth of the church and exactly how it grew from a small flame of 120 disciples into a wildfire of 3,000 people within just weeks of Jesus’ resurrection. Let’s dive into our foundational passage of Scripture for this message:

Acts 1:4-8 (NKJV) 4And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me; 5for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.” 6Therefore,...
