Fall Launch

Sunday, September 8, 9:00 AM - Sunday, December 1, 12:30 PM

Vgrowth Track Class

Start: Sept 8
End: Dec 1
Times: Sunday at 9am & 11am
Location: Basics Classroom

This class is all about the BASICS and strengthening your foundation of faith. We’ll cover topics like, how to know for sure you’re a Christian, how to pray, how to hear from God, how to develop your faith, how to be an overcomer, how to live the abundant life, how to be filled with the Spirit, and more! In 1990, Pastors Jeff and Beth Jones first taught the Getting a Grip on the Basics course from their kitchen table and since then, Valley Family Church has always been about the basics. For the first 20 years as a church, everyone who wanted to get involved at VFC took the Getting a Grip on the Basics course to strengthen their faith and so that we were all on the same page when it comes to the basics of our faith. It was, and is, a foundational course for every Christian whether you’ve known the Lord for 2 minutes or 20 years.

We know this might not be "new material" to some, but we know God can do something new in your heart as you get a refresher! There is always more to learn and understand in the Lord and we know you’ll be strengthened in your beliefs even more by taking this class again. Plus, by strengthening your own relationship with God and your understanding of the basics of your faith, you’ll feel more equipped to help others grow in their relationship with God. We know many people who have taken the class multiple times and they always come back with testimonies of what God is teaching them!

Vgroups (Small groups)

Life flows in seasons, and we want to make it easy for you to be in the right small group for you in each season. This is why we have new groups that start and stop three times a year; spring, summer and fall, in what we refer to as “launches”. Each launch is kicked off with an online registration and new small groups. If you would like to join a VGroup, simply CLICK HERE to learn more about the VGroups currently being offered.

Our hope is for every person at VFC to be connected in a meaningful community through a VGroup. With so many groups to choose from, we are confident there is a group that is a great fit for you.

What kind of VGroups are there?

Season of Life VGroups are small groups of people drawn together by a particular season of life who meet once a month in someone's home for a year to build personal relationships and grow spiritually. We will discuss a few questions pertinent to the weekend message, encourage and pray for one another -- and we always eat and have fun!

Topical Study VGroups are small groups of people who come together every two weeks for a short term in someone's home to explore a particular curriculum-based topic, have small group interaction, and grow together in life-changing ways.

Support & Recovery VGroups are small groups of people who come together every two weeks for a short term in someone's home to connect, grow, and heal while recovering from the challenges of life including: grief recovery, divorce recovery and more. Through a curriculum-driven lesson and small group interaction you will receive the support you need to heal and rebuild for the future.

Prayer VGroups are small groups of people who come together weekly at VFC for one hour to pray Spirit-led prayers for a variety of needs, including the people and vision of VFC and the advancement of God’s Kingdom around the world.

Vcrew (Volunteer Serving Team)

Join the VCrew! The VCrew is the heart and soul of VFC. This amazing group of volunteers love the Lord, enjoy serving and like to have fun. As you can imagine, it takes hundreds of servant-hearted people to minister to the thousands of people who attend VFC. If you have a heart for building the church, serving others or leading people, we want and need you!

Opportunities to Serve! VCrew opportunities include: kids or students ministry, traffic, ushers, security, info center, housekeeping, office, worship, audio, lighting, video, web, social media, small groups, guest services, cafe, and a whole lot more!

Opportunities to Meet New Friends! Another great aspect about joining the VCrew are the friendships that evolve. Each of the ministry teams have developed their own culture for fun, prayer-support and get-togethers. One of the best ways to meet people in a large church is by getting involved. We welcome you to join the fun.
