Project 1:27 & Missions

VFC is involved in all kinds of outreach around the world!

At Valley Family Church, we believe the old adage that "the church that shines the farthest, shines the brightest at home," and that's why we have been faithful supporters of missions works around the world since the inception of the church.

Missions Trips: Each year, we offer one or more missions trip for VFC'ers to participate in. Our missions work has included trips to: Guatamala, Africa, Appalachian Mountains and New Mexico Indian Reservations. VFC has sent a couple of missions teams to aid in disaster relief to New Orleans, as well as locally when emergency needs arise.

Widows & Orphans Work: In James 1:27, the Bible says that real religion is to care for orphans and widows. Project 1:27 is an ongoing outreach ministry to "orphans and widows" for thta very purpose. We have sent teams to many local agencies including Habitat for Humanity and local neighborhoods to build, help widows, single moms and those in need. We have also sent teams to other nations to build home for widows and orphans, to teach kids and to minister God's love to the fatherless.

We "Can" Make a Difference Outreach: This is a simple, monthly canned food drive. We collect canned goods at VFC and our Community Center - the VFCC - on the last weekend of each month and we disperse those items to local food pantries so they can help those less fortunate.

Missionaries, Ministries and Non-Profit Organizations: We believe in supporting world missions and those who are taking the gospel of Jesus Christ to the ends of the earth.

Recent Outreach:

Haiti: VFC raised and contributed over $20,000 dollars to Haiti for their disaster relief. These funds were evenly distributed between Adventures in Missions, The Red Cross, Samaritans Purse and the Salvation Army.
