Valley Kids Learning Center

Valley Kids Learning Center is a faith-based, family-oriented child care center serving children from ages 6 weeks to 5 years old. We are dedicated to providing children with a safe, nurturing and loving environment.

We are currently accepting applications for Childcare Lead Teacher, Childcare Assistant Teachers, and a cook. Applicants should have a strong desire to educate and car for young children in a Christ-centered environment. As this is a ministry position, we are seeking a candidate whose values and priorities align with that of Valley Family Church without reservation. 

Qualifications:

  • Lead teacher applicants should have a Bachelor or Associates Degree or CDA in early childhood or a related field.
  • Assistant teacher applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent education. 
  • Be CPR, First Aid, and Blood borne Pathogen certified or able to obtain certification upon hire. 
  • Submit to a various background checks including those completed through the Department of Human Services and the Michigan State Police. 
  • Evidence of Emotional maturity and stability.
  • Ability to relation joyfully and sensitively to children. 
  • Ability to be flexible, patient and understanding with both children and adults. 
  • Possess physical stamina and agility. 

Duties:

  • Ensure the safety and well-being of each child by responding to their emotional, social, and physical needs as well as their educational needs. 
  • Encourage children's involvement in activities. 
  • Maintain a professional self-image and project the values of the organization at all times.
  • Establish and maintain good, positive communication needs with parents and coworkers on a daily basis. 
  • Other duties as assigned.   

Job Type: Teaching Positions have full time and part time availability. The cook is a full time position. 

Salary: Commensurate with experience.

The Basics With Beth Video Editor Specialist (Full-time)

The Basics With Beth Video Editor Specialist will edit video for TV, The Basics University online courses, social media elements and more -- as well as develop other content media (audio, graphics, photos, etc.) to help people get the basics of God’s Word and live a life they love.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Edit & package The Basics With Beth TV episodes
  • Create other video elements including lessons for The Basics University, product promos, social media clips, testimonials, commercials, etc.
  • Assist with production on TV & video shoots
  • Facilitate & edit podcast recordings
  • Create media, photos, and/or graphics for social media, email marketing and website
  • Assist in creative planning/brainstorming for new media elements, set designs, promotions and marketing materials/efforts
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills

  • Creativity and flexibility
  • The ability to meet deadlines in a fast-pace environment
  • Strong organizational skills both personally and over areas of responsibility
  • Strong attention to details and desire to achieve excellence
  • Experience setting up lights, running cameras, capturing audio
  • Experience in Adobe Premiere & Photoshop
  • Experience with After Effects, animation, motion graphics

Video Editor Specialist (Full-time)

The Video Editor Specialist will create, shoot and edit visual content for weekend services, email campaigns, social media and more for VFC.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Create & edit video content to promote events and series
  • Create & edit video content to capture the heart of VFC and communicate the vision
  • Create other video elements including social media clips, testimonials, commercials, etc.
  • Capture video content onsite and offsite for various shoot settings
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills

  • Strong organizational skills both personally and over areas of responsibility
